Model displayed in the Maritime Museum in Aabenraa
The unique maritime museum in
Aabenraa has a beautiful model of the "Kaethe Jebsen" on display in the
section with Jebsen related items.
During a visit in 2010, I used
the opportunity to take a few photos of the model, - and here it is - -

Take note of the three pictures
on the wall behind the model.
You will find the same pictures
in this web site, due to the fact that the web master, - who is also the
photographer -, donated these pictures to the museum.
During a visit I noted, that
apparently the museum did not have pictures of those particular Jebsen
ships, - but I had plenty and wanted to help making the collection up to
date, - and now they are hanging there for all to enjoy - - - -
They show the three latest
Jebsen ships, - "Carl Offersen", "Heinrich Jessen" and "Emma Jebsen".

I have never served on the "Kaethe
Jebsen" , but my good friend , - the late Niels Johan Vendelbo, Radio Operator
-, apparently had served on her, and photographed the life boat - - -
His wife was so kind to hand
over Niels' photo collection to me after he died, and there is a lot of
memories to dig into.
But first "Kaethe Jebsen's"
life boat - -
