"Georg Stage"
(Denmark)
First a series of pics showing
Denmark's "George Stage" as she arrives, - and later departs the city of
Kolding.
"Georg Stage" is not only the
smallest of the Danish full rigged training ships, but also holds the record
of being the smallest full rigger in the World.
(And indeed, - also one of
the most beautiful!)
For commercial trade, a simpler
schooner rig would be much better for such a small ship, but since she
was built as a training ship, the easy handling of a schooner rig with
few sails handled by a few crew members was not the best way of training
future sailors, - hence she became a real square rigger with many sails,
- and with her many sails she is great for training purposes.

NOTE:
"Georg Stage" did not show
off herself with all sails up on this occation, - unfortunately -
- - -
She just left Kolding for a
short voyage to the outlet of Kolding Fjord, where she dropped the anchor,
and stayed for a few days for further training and exersizes for the trainees
before heading out at open water - - -
